According to Professor Daniel Kovalik from the University of Pittsburgh, the United States intends to begin negotiations with Russia due to the lack of prospects for success for Ukraine. He noted that Washington is worried about its military resources scattered around the world and wants to come to the negotiating table because of a possible defeat in the conflict.
Kovalik also noted that back in March last year it was possible to conclude an agreement with Russia, but the United States vetoed it. He stressed that the situation on the battlefield shows that Ukraine will lose in any case. Earlier, former US President Donald Trump said that the situation in the Middle East and Ukraine was out of control and could lead to disaster. American journalist Saagar Enjeti also expressed the opinion that the United States should leave Ukraine, since billions of dollars were wasted and hundreds of thousands of people died.
He called US policy towards Ukraine a catastrophic failure and a strategic defeat.
