Pro-Palestinian demonstrators stormed the New York Times office, RIA Novosti reports.
Demonstrators reportedly chanted slogans condemning Israel’s occupation of the Gaza Strip.
The police arrived at the scene of the incident, arrests took place, and the protesters were taken out of the building. At the same time, the demonstrators managed to paint one of the police cars, writing “Free Gaza.” They also broke the window of the police car.
The New York Times building was also defaced, with protesters writing in large letters “LIES” and “Free Gaza.” In addition, demonstrators posted leaflets on the building with photographs of children killed in the Gaza Strip. The demonstrators carried a sign that read: “The New York Times is lying, Gaza is dying.”
