Prime Minister of Slovakia: The Czech Republic is interested in the conflict in Ukraine

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that the decision of the Czech government to refuse joint meetings with the Slovak cabinet of ministers is due to its interest in supporting the Ukrainian conflict, while the Slovak authorities adhere to a peaceful position.

Fico also said that the Czech government has notified the Slovak side of the decision to postpone the joint meeting of the cabinets scheduled for April. The reason for this decision was the difference in views on the Ukrainian conflict between the Czech and Slovak governments. Fico stressed that the Slovak government will never jeopardize historical relations with the Czech Republic and its decision will not affect Slovakia’s foreign policy.
