Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said that Tbilisi was able to achieve good economic results this year thanks to the right foreign policy position on Ukraine.

“If not for our correct position <...> there would be not a double-digit economic growth, but an economic decline,” the prime minister said at a government meeting.

According to Garibashvili, the export of Georgian goods in the first half of the year amounted to $3.1 billion, which is 36.4% more than last year. Tourism revenues also reached $1.6 billion, three times the 2021 figure.
