Prigozhin again asked the Prosecutor General’s Office to check YouTube

Entrepreneur and organizer of Wagner PMC Evgeny Prigozhin for the second time turned to Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov with a request to check YouTube, against which, in his opinion, “the most stringent measures” should be applied, transmits Telegram channel of the Concord company.
“As before, I believe the toughest action should be taken against YouTube. It is urgent to stop the dissemination of unreliable socially significant information that creates a threat of mass violation of public order, as well as information aimed at discrediting the exercise of their powers by state bodies of the Russian Federation by restricting access to this platform,” Prigozhin said.
The businessman also asked Krasnov to consider the issue of recognizing the activities of the American corporation Google, which owns video hosting, as undesirable in Russia. The company, according to Prigozhin, poses a threat to the country’s defense capability and state security.
Last time, with a similar request, Prigogine addressed to Krasnov at the end of October.
On September 28, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, said that the Russian authorities still do not plan to block Youtube video hosting in the country. In May, Shadayev already noted that the Russian authorities do not plan to close Youtube, according to him, with the introduction of blocking, the department should understand that Russian users will not suffer. After that, the general director of the video service, Susan Wojcicki, said that Youtube also has no plans to leave the Russian market.
