The visit of the President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev to Moscow is scheduled for February. This was reported to Vedomosti by a source close to the presidential administration of Russia, and confirmed by Gagloev’s assistant Vladimir Vaneev. According to him, the intergovernmental commission on socio-economic cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia plans to discuss the investment program. The meeting is scheduled for February 8, the head of the presidential administration of the republic Alan Dzhioev said at a meeting of the government of South Ossetia on January 27.
Gagloev already came to Moscow in August and December 2022 and held talks with Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak (he oversees relations with border states). The negotiation process also went in other directions: in November 2022, South Ossetian Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev met with Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak in Moscow – as a result, it was decided to hold a meeting of the intergovernmental commission in January 2023.
