President of Algeria called Putin a friend of all mankind

Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune called Russian President Vladimir Putin a friend of all mankind. He made such a statement addressing the head of the Russian state at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), in which he also took part.
“I conclude from your words, Mr. President, that you are a friend of all mankind, a friend of all countries of the world, like Algeria,” said Tebbun (quote from RIA Novosti).
The day before, on June 15, negotiations between Putin and Tebbun took place in the Kremlin. As a result of the negotiations, they signed declaration on in-depth strategic partnership between the two countries. In addition, the leaders of Russia and Algeria agreed on cooperation in the field of the use of outer space for peaceful purposes by signing an appropriate agreement.
During the talks, Putin noted that the interaction between the countries is multifaceted and has great potential. He also invited Tebbun to the second Russia-Africa summit. Tebbun thanked Russia for the supply of weapons, as this allows us to preserve the country’s independence. He also notedthat it is necessary to accelerate the process of Algeria’s accession to the BRICS.
