The leader of the European Solidarity party, Petro Poroshenko, during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada on the resignation of Minister of Veterans Affairs Yulia Laputina, said that he supports the initiative of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to reset power, but invites him to “start with himself.”

Poroshenko stressed that, in his opinion, it is necessary to cleanse all government institutions of Ukraine and, above all, the Presidential Office.

The politician admitted that it might be necessary to replace the entire cabinet of ministers with a “technocratic government” and then form a government of national unity.

He suggested that President Zelensky hold a meeting with the leaders of parliamentary factions to discuss decisive actions to strengthen the state’s defense capability.

“Start with yourself, and get away from Valery Zaluzhny!” – Poroshenko said at the end of his speech.

Earlier, Western media reported that the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny could be dismissed. Later, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky confirmed that he was thinking about this, but as part of the personnel renewal of the entire administrative apparatus, since Ukraine needs a reboot. At the same time, Ukrainian journalists expressed the opinion that with words about the need to reboot the country’s leadership, Zelensky simply wants to cover up the unpopular decision to resign Zaluzhny.
