If you are looking for the perfect, delicate and intricate nail art, then a porcelain (aka porcelain) manicure is what you need. Abstract or floral patterns in predominantly blue shades on a white background look like our native Gzhel painting, but there are correlations with Chinese porcelain (remember the famous cobalt Bone China technique) and with Dutch Delft faience, which arose in imitation of it in the wake of the general hobby Chinoiserie. Varvara Kotova, a specialist at the Palchiki chain of salons, believes that the background of such a painting can be any color from white to translucent or milky. “To prevent the blue design from looking too boring, you can add elements made with liquid gold,” she advises.

In some cases, porcelain art continues the traditions of the Mediterranean coast and begins to resemble the fabric designs that Dolce & Gabbana loves and popularizes so much – both on the catwalk and in table settings: with lemons framed by green floral elements.

But, if you adhere to the classical interpretation, in addition to blue and gold, the color palette of porcelain manicure includes pastel shades of blue, lavender, pink and white. Such delicate combinations will be a good addition to a strict look at a special event, wedding or official reception.
