Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, expressed his opinion on the possible timing of the end of the armed phase of the conflict in Ukraine.
According to the Russian diplomat, one should not expect an early establishment of peace against the backdrop of inflating the conflict with the help of arms supplies to Kyiv from Western countries.
“We are quite far from peace. At this stage, it is difficult to move forward, because there are no significant diplomatic efforts from Western countries … They supply weapons and inflate the conflict,” Polyansky said.
