Politico: US senators want to include Russia in the list of sponsors of terrorism

Edition Politico reported that US Senators Lindsey Graham, representing the Republicans, and Richard Blumenthal of the Democrats, submitted to Congress a new bill to include the Russian Federation in the list of terrorist countries.
It is clarified that this legislation will circumvent the decision of the State Department. At the same time, this document does not have wide support in Congress.
“They presented a bill with which to declare Russia a terrorist country unilaterally,” the publication added.
According to one of the authors of the bill, Blumenthal does not agree with the official position of the White House, which does not want to recognize the Russian Federation as a sponsor of terrorism.
