Russia defeated the United States in relations with the countries of Africa and Asia
Member of the Parliament of the Republic of the Congo Jeremy Lissouba in his article for the publication Politico declared that Russia had prevailed over the United States of America in the fight for the support of developing countries.
According to him, at present, the superpowers, in their own way, are calling on the countries of Africa and Asia to take their side.
“At the same time, unlike in the last century, it is not easy to force them to make this or that choice. Most likely you don’t need to do this at all. The West does not understand this, but Russia does,” Lissuba said.
He clarified that now African countries do not openly condemn the conduct of a special military operation in Ukraine. Among other things, they do not take part in various sanctions against Russia.
At the same time, some African countries currently maintain friendly relations with Moscow. For example, the Congo has recently signed several cooperation agreements with the Russian Federation.
