[ad_1]
The European Union (EU) is trying to convince Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to change his position on the Ukrainian conflict ahead of the summit in Brussels. This was reported by Politico.
At the upcoming meeting, the leaders of the European Union countries will have to decide whether to include Ukraine in the union or not, and also try to conclude a deal to allocate 50 billion euros to Kyiv.
“Orban threatens to derail this summit. In two letters to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, he made it clear that he is against accession negotiations with Kiev (to the EU – approx.),” the publication says.
It is noted that Orban also advocates holding a debate on the topic of EU support for Ukraine.
