Senior researcher at the E.M. Primakov Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander Kamkin, said that Donald Trump wants to extract “maximum benefit” from the conflict in Ukraine.
“His position, in my opinion, will largely consist of a cult of moderate isolation of the United States,” said the expert in on air radio station “Moscow Speaks”.
He also noted that Trump will be more focused on solving such internal US problems as “immigration, a divided society, certain economic problems.”
At the same time, Trump will position the United States as a “safe haven” in the context of the growing global crisis.
Kamkin added that Russia’s tasks do not change because of this – “to bring the Northern Military District to its logical conclusion” and it does not matter who sponsors the Kiev regime – the United States or Europe.
