Political scientist Suslov: Russia will respond to the buildup of NATO and US military forces in Europe

Deputy Director of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics Dmitry Suslov, in an interview with Lenta.ru, said that Russia will respond to the buildup of military forces of the United States of America and the North Atlantic Alliance in Europe.
He clarified that the Russian Federation will partially increase its military presence on its western borders and deepen military integration with Belarus. In particular, tactical nuclear weapons may be deployed on the territory of a neighboring state.
“The Russian Federation will focus on nuclear weapons and precision missiles. Such actions are necessary in order to prevent opponents from being drawn into a full-scale arms race,” Suslov noted.
