Why Lavrov is going to the summit

After the decision of the Russian military to leave Kherson, many started talking about the existence of some secret agreements between Moscow and the West. Like, some agreements on Ukraine will be concluded next week at the G20 summit, where Russia will be represented by the country’s chief diplomat Sergey Lavrov. However, Aleksey Mukhin, director of the Center for Political Information of Russia, believes that all these idle talks have no basis.

The topic of secret negotiations with the West is being actively discussed on the Web. For example, one of the Telegram channels writes that Sergey Lavrov is going to the G20 summit “not empty-handed, but with daddy” and allegedly some preliminary negotiations with the Americans on Ukraine are planned.

– In my opinion, the “stuffing” about the negotiations is an attempt to shake up Russian society and an element of information warfare in order to weaken the position of the Russian leadership, bring confusion to the ranks of the defenders of the Fatherland and in every possible way demotivate those who understand the essence of what is happening.

All these games and Zelensky’s conversations that “I won’t talk now, because I signed a decree”, and then putting forward obviously unacceptable conditions for negotiations – all this, in fact, is the so-called “rolling”. This is an attempt to rock our society in order to weaken the position. This is by no means to be taken seriously.

According to the political scientist, there will be no negotiation processes at the G20 summit, which will be held in Bali on November 15-16.

– There is no folder! We are going to the G20 exclusively to discuss economic issues, – Alexey Mukhin explained, noting that the enemy rejoices early, as “a lot of surprises await him in the near future.”

According to the expert, the work of the Coordinating Council to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has already been established and is in full swing.

– You probably noticed that formally it is headed by Mikhail Mishustin, and he really follows his work. But very often meetings of the Coordinating Council are chaired by Vladimir Putin personally, which suggests that the very coordination of military, civilian and other verticals is in a single decision-making center. And this center does not consist of one person, but of several.

This is extremely important. In fact, this is a powerful tool for determining political will in order to stimulate the process in the right direction – towards mobilizing the economy, consolidating the foreign policy course, and working with the population at the federal and regional levels. Something happened that should have happened nine months ago, – the political scientist said.

According to him, work on the production of weapons, equipment, and ammunition has also been established. Moreover, the military industry is in close interaction with civilian departments.

– In order to organize the work and make it systematic, uninterrupted, strict coordination is needed, which now arose as a result of the formation of the Coordinating Council.
