Political scientist Ishchenko assessed the threat of a repeat of the Chernobyl disaster on the territory of Ukraine

“We need to find a suicide bomber who understands nuclear energy”

27 years ago, on April 26, 1986, there was an accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Today, on the territory of Ukraine, where hostilities are taking place, there are several more nuclear power plants. Is it possible for Ukraine to repeat the Chernobyl tragedy? Can the Kyiv authorities organize it when they realize their inevitable defeat? These questions were answered by political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko to Ukraina.ru.

In his opinion, the Ukrainian authorities could arrange a nuclear provocation in order to then blame Russia for this. To do this, the power plant reactor can be fired from the outside. But, as the expert noted, the reactor must explode from the inside, since only then the effect of the explosion will be compared with the Chernobyl disaster.

“If the reactor is simply bombed by hitting it with a rocket and saying that it came from somewhere, then there will not be the same effect. There will be external destruction, increased radiation background, but the same as at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant will not happen, ”concluded Ishchenko.

At the same time, the expert is sure that a nuclear provocation from Ukraine, as well as provocations with “dirty bombs”, should not be ruled out in general. But, according to him, Ukrainian forces are unlikely to use the Chernobyl scenario, where nuclear reactors exploded spontaneously, since in this case the Russian Federation cannot be blamed: “If they themselves exploded, then you served them that way. Then the questions are not for Russia, but for you.”

The analyst explained that for such a manipulation, the Ukrainian special services need to find a suicide bomber who will be in close proximity to the reactor and control the explosion process. At the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Ishchenko recalls, they conducted an experiment, and if the station workers acted within the framework of the instructions, they could calmly prevent the accident.

He stated that everyone who was at the station at that moment died due to an exorbitant dose of radiation. “If there are such suicides in Ukraine, then for God’s sake: you can blow up anything,” Ishchenko said.

In addition, the political scientist added, in addition to the readiness of a person to give his life for the Kiev regime, he must also be a specialist in the field of electrical energy.
