The White House will not be able to make everyone believe in the absence of a recession
Against the backdrop of a difficult economic situation in the world, many Western countries have faced serious problems. In particular, political scientist and Americanist Malek Dudakov believes that the White House has begun to turn the rules of its own game. According to the expert, from the point of view of the neoliberal economic school, a recession is two quarters with a fall.
In conversation with SM-News Dudakov recalled that the US economy in the first quarter fell by 1.6%, and in the second the fall was 0.9%. He stressed that there is a fall, and it is quite serious.
At the same time, according to the specialist, there are indicators showing that things are not so bad in the US economy, for example, the absence of an increase in the unemployment rate and a fall in the level of investment, but this is only for now. As Dudakov noted, all the indicators that Washington points to are largely lagging behind.
The Americanist stressed that American business has already begun preparing for the crisis, reducing investment, stopping the increase in production and freezing the hiring of employees. According to Dudakov, any responsible businessman understands that the economy is slowing down and, presumably, a recession will soon begin. According to the political scientist’s forecast, businessmen in the US will stop investing in the development of production in order to avoid what could happen.
The expert predicts that in 2-3 months the White House will not be able to engage in “games of semantics”, saying that this is “not a real recession.” Dudakov concluded that the US economy will fall by 2% in the third quarter.
