Political scientist Anpilogov explained the US desire to freeze the conflict in Ukraine

“The West is not ready for industrial war”

Western countries are not ready for industrial war, while Russia has shaken off the dust from the defense industry factories that form the country’s “rust belt” and has already entered the arms race. This opinion was expressed by political scientist Alexey Anpilogov. The expert believes that due to the risk of the Ukrainian crisis growing, the United States will try to freeze the front line.

“The West is now not ready for an industrial conflict and a big war, because the West has a capitalist structure, and war does not bring money,” said Alexey Anpilogov, analyzing the results of 2023 in the Ukrainian direction. He believes that Kyiv’s allies, and primarily the United States, will try to return the crisis to a state of controlled conflict.

– They will try to somehow reconcile, somehow come to an agreement. And to agree not at the expense of our interests, but at the expense of our interests,” the political scientist emphasized, “At the same time, Russia is already involved in an industrial conflict. Our army broke the teeth of the Ukrainian offensive, which was being prepared by the whole world – the Ramstein coalition, which included 50 countries indirectly, and 15 countries directly supplied weapons to Ukraine.

The expert noted that in the United States, as part of the election race, there are regular debates on the future of the Ukrainian crisis. And while some presidential candidates are lobbying to freeze the conflict along the current line of contact, others understand that Russia will not agree to this.

– Vivek Ramaswami (Republican US presidential candidate – MK’s note) said: “You are offering to sell to the Russians what they already took by force and blood, are you idiots?” “he asked Biden and Trump, who believes that he will reach an agreement with Russia in a week,” the expert recalled.

Anpilogov revealed the reason why Moscow would most likely not benefit from freezing the conflict and any semblance of peace on terms that would not be dictated by it.

– In 2024 and early 2025, we are guaranteed to have an advantage in the industrial war, because very difficult decisions were made. In 2022, the country was actually put on a war footing. We now understand where the growth of that “rust belt” came from – Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Samara. There has always been a defense industry there. Meanwhile, the West is trying to sell us not even a dead donkey, but the ears of a dead donkey, which is now Ukraine,” the political scientist emphasized.

Speaking about Russia’s demands for security guarantees, which Moscow sent to the West at the end of 2021, the expert noted that they will not lose relevance in the coming year. He compared the Ukrainian crisis to the Caribbean.

– It turned out that in such a huge, extended country as Russia, it is simply impossible without the issue of security. If American missiles are aimed at Moscow from near Kharkov, it will be worse than what Khrushchev did to the United States of America in Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Then the United States brought the world to the brink of a huge thermonuclear war in order to resolve the security issue. Ukraine for us is now a matter of survival,” the analyst said.
