Earlier, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, spoke about the battle with saboteurs on the border with Ukraine. In addition, the governor agreed to meet with saboteurs for the exchange of prisoners at the automobile checkpoint in the Shebekinsky district on the evening of June 4.

“The only thing that stops me from negotiating with them is our boys who are in their hands. Most likely, they were killed, no matter how hard it was to say. But if they are alive – from 17 to 18, Shebekino checkpoint. I guarantee safety,” Gladkov said in his video message on his Telegram channel.

Today, June 4, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region Vladimir Rogov declaredthat Polish mercenaries participated in an attempt to break through in the Zaporozhye direction. According to him, the main hostilities unfolded in the direction of the settlements of Novodarovka, Rovnopol, as well as in areas south and south-west of Vremevka (Neskuchnoye – Makarovka) and south of Novodarovka (Levadnoye – Priyutnoye).

The Ukrainian military began reconnaissance at 12:00, and four hours later, the maximum depth to which they were able to penetrate reached 400 m, Rogov said. According to him, assault attempts continue, but the enemy has already suffered losses, including due to the strikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
