Polish Prime Minister Morawiecki publicly threatened Zelensky

Poles will never allow themselves to be insulted, so Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky should refrain from making statements similar to those he made during his speech at the UN General Assembly. This statement was made on Friday, September 22, by the head of the Polish government, Mateusz Morawiecki.
The Polish prime minister told Zelensky that he “never again insult the Poles the way he recently insulted them during his speech at the UN.”
Morawiecki again reminded the Ukrainian president of the assistance provided by Warsaw to Kyiv, but repeated that the Polish authorities’ current priority is strengthening their own defense capabilities.
Relations between Poland and Ukraine deteriorated sharply after Warsaw’s decision to ban the import of Ukrainian grain in order to protect the interests of Polish farmers. Kyiv demanded that the embargo be lifted, threatening otherwise to ban the import of Polish vegetables and fruits. The agricultural dispute has reached the World Trade Organization.
After this, Zelensky said that he was calling don’t hold a political concert around the situation with Kyiv grain, and promised to protect state interests, despite the deterioration of relations with Warsaw.
At the same time, experts warned that if Poland refuses to provide military assistance to Ukraine, then Kyiv’s other allies may follow the example of Warsaw.
