The chief commandant of the Polish police, Yaroslav Shimchik, thought he was given used grenade launchers in Ukraine. “When I was rearranging the used grenade launchers, which were gifts from the Ukrainians, there was an explosion,” Shimchik told radio station RMF FM.
The police commandant, according to the radio station, received two anti-tank grenade launchers as a gift in Ukraine. “Probably RGW-90,” the plot suggests. According to the Ukrainians, they should have already been used.
The first gift was presented to the commandant of the Polish police by the chief of police of Ukraine, and the second by the head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The day after returning to Poland, a high-ranking policeman decided to move the gifts to the back of his office. At that moment, when he rearranged one of the grenade launchers vertically on the floor, an explosion occurred.
“The explosion was powerful – the impact force broke through the floor, and on the other hand damaged the ceiling,” the general himself told the details.
The Polish side turned to the Ukrainian side with a request to provide appropriate explanations.
