Police chief assassinated in Mariupol

In Mariupol, the car of the head of the city police department, Mikhail Moskvin, was blown up. About it informs TASS, citing a source in the power structures of the DPR.

“In the morning they blew up the car of police chief Moskvin,” the source said.

He clarified that the explosion occurred a few meters from the police chief, Moskvin was not injured. Another source in the power structures of the DPR added that the police chief received a slight concussion.

The regional department of the Investigative Committee for the DPR reported that they had arrived at the scene. “Currently, an inspection of the scene is being carried out, as well as a complex of investigative and operational-search measures aimed at fixing the traces of the crime and establishing all the circumstances of the incident,” clarified there.

March 14 in Melitopol, Zaporozhye region was blown up the car of a local entrepreneur, the head of the municipal transport enterprise Ivan Tkach. He died from his injuries in the hospital. Another assassination attempt happened in December 2022 to the deputy head of Melitopol Nikolai Volyk. An improvised explosive device was detonated when the official left the entrance of his house. Wolyk was not injured as a result of the incident.

Mariupol is located in the DPR. On September 30, the President of the Russian Federation and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions signed agreements on the annexation of the regions to Russia.
