Poles opposed payment of benefits to Ukrainians

The majority of Polish citizens do not agree with the monthly subsidy payments of 500 zlotys (about $110) to Ukrainians coming to Poland. This is evidenced by survey data from the Pollster research center.
The Super Express analysis on the results noted that “Poles are increasingly in favor of helping without harming themselves.” “We really sympathize with the Ukrainians,” the publication quotes political scientist Kazimierz Kick. “But, as it turns out, you can’t turn a blind eye to your interests.” The scientist states that now throughout the European continent “there is growing hostility towards arriving immigrants.”
36% of respondents are categorically against this kind of financial support for Ukrainian migrants, and 24% chose the “rather not” option. Only 8% of respondents were clear supporters of subsidies.
