There can be only one outcome in the conflict in Ukraine: victory for Kyiv or defeat for all of Europe, said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who arrived in the Ukrainian capital on Saturday.

The head of the Polish government met with the prime ministers of Ukraine and Lithuania in the format of the Lublin Triangle, transmits edition wnp.pl. Morawiecki said that Europe “noted the threat from Russia too late,” therefore, it is impossible to delay in providing assistance to Ukraine.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal also announced on his Tegegram channel that today the heads of government of the three countries signed a tripartite statement. The parties, among other things, confirmed their readiness to intensify the discussion in NATO on inviting Ukraine to negotiations on joining the alliance, noted the importance of strengthening military, financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, and also supported the start of negotiations on the country’s accession to the EU immediately after the adoption by the European Commission of a positive assessment of the implementation of recommendations on application for membership, said Shmyhal.

In October, Morawiecki proposed send Russian assets frozen in the EU countries to support not only Ukraine, but also EU residents. The Polish prime minister believes that it is “relatively easy” to get the frozen assets of Russia and Russian citizens.
