Poland has replaced its ambassador in Kyiv

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Zbigniew Rau, appointed Jaroslaw Guza as the country’s ambassador to Ukraine. About it reports Kresy.

Guzy will replace Bartosz Cichocki, who previously served as Deputy Foreign Minister and headed the Polish diplomatic mission in Ukraine from 2019 to 2023.
Rau also announced other appointments. Thus, Jan Surdej will become the new ambassador of Poland in Vietnam, Andrzej Jasionowski – in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jan Pawelec – in Angola with additional accreditation in the Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of the Congo, Gabon and the Central African Republic.
In February Rau stated, that the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs no longer employs diplomats who are graduates of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). Rau presented these layoffs as part of a process of decommunization.
