Poland and South Korea will hold exercises near the Kaliningrad region

Poland, as part of expanding cooperation with South Korea in the military sphere, plans to hold a demonstration of the defense capabilities of the Polish Army using South Korean military equipment in September. This was announced on Thursday, August 31, by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blashak.
Teachings Jesienny Ogien (“Autumn Fire”), according to the politician, will start on September 17 in Orzysz and in Bemowo Piska. These settlements in northern Poland are located near the border with the Kaliningrad region.
Blaszczak said that Warsaw and Seoul have already “achieved a lot for security, for ensuring peace by strengthening the Polish Army, by implementing the containment policy in practice.” Further plans to expand cooperation include the launch of production of South Korean military equipment in Poland.
In the meantime, Minsk sent a proposal to the representatives of Poland and Lithuania to send observers to the “Combat Brotherhood” exercises in Belarus, but no response yet. The Republican Security Council stressed that the country is acting in accordance with international requirements, having invited international observers, military attachés, and the diplomatic corps of neighboring states.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko noted that his country is ready to restore good relations with neighboring powers, but they respond with various accusations and threats.
