Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, said that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) began a few days ago. As part of this counter-offensive, he specified, “separate operations” are already underway.
On the air of the Rai 1 channel, Podolyak explained that the front line was stretched for 1.5 thousand km along the border, but separate operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were already underway. In addition, Podolyak touched upon the issue of arms supplies from the West. He confirmed that Ukraine intends to use these supplies only in those territories that it considers its own. He emphasized the importance of transferring F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, as they are necessary for control over airspace.
The topic of a possible counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been discussed in the media for several months, various dates have been announced for the start of a large counter-offensive. The Russian Foreign Ministry previously stated that the open reasoning of Western countries about the upcoming Ukrainian counter-offensive confirms their direct involvement in the conflict.
