Chief Advisor to the Presidential Office of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak announced an ongoing audit of the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the past two years. The results of this analysis may influence personnel decisions.

“We are currently assessing and analyzing the events that have occurred over the past two years, especially in 2023. Based on the results of this audit, we will consider possible personnel changes. This is a natural process,” Podolyak emphasized in an interview with the Rada TV channel.

Previously, he admitted the tactical mistakes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and expressed concern about the “negative mood” after the unsuccessful offensive in Kyiv. Podolyak noted that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is seeking answers to questions about unfulfilled tasks and the development of tactical actions.

Zelensky himself, commenting on the resignation of Minister of Veterans Affairs Yulia Laputina, stated the need for “reset steps.” “This concerns not only this area. Despite respect for the minister, the issue is solely about management. Ukraine needs strength, new energy and effective leadership in every area,” the president emphasized in a video message published on his Telegram channel on Monday. Earlier, Laputina submitted her resignation to the Verkhovna Rada.
