Plane with Xi Jinping takes off from Moscow

Planes with Chinese President Xi Jinping and a Chinese delegation took off from Moscow’s Vnukovo airport, write “RIA News”.

March 20 Xi Jinping arrived to Moscow for a three-day visit. After landing in Russia, he expressed confidence that his working trip would be fruitful and “give new impetus to the healthy and stable development of Sino-Russian relations.” On the same day, the PRC President had an informal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which they discussed the situation in Ukraine and in the world.

The next day, March 21, was the main day of the state visit, during which negotiations were held between the Russian and Chinese delegations in a narrow and expanded format. Prior to the start of the official welcoming ceremony, which took place at the Grand Kremlin Palace at 3:00 pm, Xi Jinping met with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and, as part of the meeting, invited Putin and Mishustin to visit China this year. Later presidential aide Yuri Ushakov admitted visit of the Russian leader to China this year.

Following the meeting, the leaders of the states signed a number of joint statements relating to plans for economic cooperation and deepening partnerships. In addition, Russia and China accepted joint statement, which stressed the inadmissibility of violating the interests of any country in the field of security.
