German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said in an interview with the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper about problems in the subsequent deliveries of Leopard tanks to Ukraine.
“It would be absurd if I now ruled out further deliveries of tanks,” Pistorius said, commenting on the decision to transfer to Ukraine at the first stage 14 Leopard 2 type A6 from the stocks of the Bundeswehr.
“But my question is: where will they come from?” the minister asked rhetorically.
“We are approaching the limits,” Pistorius added, recalling that Berlin still has obligations to supply tanks to NATO member countries.
