State Duma deputy and actor Dmitry Pevtsov spoke to the mobilized and informed them that they would have to fight the “forces of darkness” at the front. Pevtsov’s speech became known from a video that was circulated on social networks.
The footage shows the assembly hall, in which several dozen young men are sitting, Pevtsov is speaking from the stage. Addressing the audience “our dear, relatives,” he reports that all those who had previously left for Ukraine have icons and prayer books with them. “Chaplains, that is, front-line priests” also work there, and “with God’s help we will win,” Pevtsov added.
“The forces of evil are fighting against us, these are the forces of darkness, satanic forces,” the actor said. “And we should not treat this as some kind of fairy tale.”
Pevtsov also said that there was a battle going on “to remain people,” and explained what he meant: “To have a family – mom, dad and children, and not uncle, uncle, and some kind of incomprehensible person.”
