At the same time, the Turkish Realtor Association announces that “for 9 months of this year, every fifth object of Turkish real estate was purchased by citizens of the Russian Federation.”

At the same time, Turkish experts on transactions with foreign citizens specify (not without surprise) the figures: “Only Russians can afford a house for $400,000 and even more.”

– Yes, according to the corporate assessment of foreign real estate departments, Turkey is ahead of all other countries in the world in terms of the volume of real estate purchases by Russians. And inside Turkey, Russian citizens are in the lead.

For comparison: over the past 9 months, Russians have bought 550 very expensive houses, Iranians are in second place (498 houses), Iraqis are in third (310 houses). And Ukraine and Europe are far behind this top three. But besides income, there are other factors that explain the indignation of the indigenous people. Even if you do not take the “lyrics” that Russians often treat the local way of life without due respect.

“But what else could our relocants have done?”

Antalya is not accustomed to living in such a compact way and is not adapted to it.

There is also very poor mobile communication and the Internet, providers can not cope with users who have come. The municipal services of the city are also moaning: the streets do not have time to clean up, there are always people and traffic jams even at night. The Russians, apparently, are not accustomed or it is not the royal business to walk on foot even in a resort town. Each relocated family immediately acquires not a car, but a fleet of vehicles – 2-4 cars for a family of 4 people. As a result, in small coastal cities there are gigantic traffic jams, neither to pass nor to pass. There are queues in all public places such as post offices and banks. Antalya residents have never seen such a thing in their lives!

But the main danger is still approaching – it’s sewerage. Now it is “only” bursting at the seams, but a little more compaction of the city – and the city sewerage system will “speak out” louder than any petitions. After all, in coastal cities this is a particularly delicate matter, if it breaks through – a disaster. If it doesn’t flood with feces, then we’ll suffocate for sure.

– Well, then our relocants will move to a cleaner place!

– They have raised housing prices so much that now to whom they will sell their houses for $ 400 thousand in order to leave? And those who paid the rent a year in advance will not move anywhere. And here another “delayed-action mine” lurked. Due to skyrocketing rental prices in Antalya and other coastal cities, it is now those who are most needed in these cities that are now unable to rent housing – public utilities workers cleaning the streets, sewers monitoring sewers, and other fitters and technicians. As a rule, these are people from villages who rent housing closer to work.

– Can the Turkish authorities go for the total ban that the popular petition demands?

“Economically, it is unprofitable for them, even taking into account the sewerage system, which will have to be rebuilt if we continue to live in such cramped conditions. But from a social point of view, they can also be banned, because because of the relocators, the native Turks can no longer live in their own cities on their wages. And now there is an outflow of Turkish citizens abroad. If it goes like this, then the Russians will soon squeeze out the Turks altogether.

So we won’t be surprised if, despite the profit, the Turkish authorities tell the relocators: whoever has already bought, stay. And for everyone who didn’t have time, now come to us only for a week “all inclusive” – and go home.

According to experts, a similar situation is not only in the province of Antalya, but also in Alanya, and in general along the entire Mediterranean coast of Turkey, as well as in Istanbul.

Antalya is the most popular for buying and renting among Russians (a year ago, 1 sq. m. cost about 18 thousand rubles, in this case – 58 thousand rubles, the average price of 100-meter apartments in a common urban-type house is from 5.8 million rubles, depending on district). During this autumn alone, 2,123 expensive private houses in Antalya were purchased by relocators, most of whom are Russians.
