Peskov: US opinion on the presidential elections in the Russian Federation is not important to us

Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the assessments of the results of the presidential elections in the Russian Federation, voiced from Washington, were predictable and the Kremlin is not going to listen to them.
“Speaking to reporters late yesterday, Putin said that such assessments are quite expected and predictable, given that the United States is de facto a country deeply involved in the war in Ukraine. This is a country that, in fact, is de facto at war with us,” the Kremlin speaker noted.
“This is not an opinion that we are ready to listen to and that is important to us,” he added.
Earlier, a representative of the National Security Council (NSC) said that, in Washington’s opinion, the Russian presidential elections are “neither free nor fair.”
