Peskov: The West will continue to try to increase sanctions pressure

The sanctions pressure on Russia will continue along with attempts to increase it, but the country’s economy is ready for this, said the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
“Sanction pressure will continue, and there will be attempts to increase it. In turn, our economy has adapted quite well to these conditions. Moreover, we are trying to benefit from this for ourselves, and in some ways we are succeeding,” he said.
Peskov also noted that there is a “lack of ideas” in the US and EU on the issue of introducing new sanctions. The Kremlin representative also drew attention to the fact that the leadership of foreign states has already begun to understand that “the current packages are already hitting the interests of the very states that imposed these sanctions.”
