The Kremlin is alarmed by reports about the fate of State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

“Of course, we received this information with great concern. We worry, like everyone else, for the Hero of Russia. We hope that in the very near future there will be some updated information about what happened,” he said.

Commenting on Ukrainian media reports about the alleged death of a politician, Peskov said that Ukrainian publications “constantly spread fakes.” The Kremlin spokesman urged to wait for “real truthful information” about what happened to Delimkhanov.

Earlier today, the Zvezda TV channel, citing the press service of the State Duma informedthat the MP was wounded. Later, the media edited the message, changing the source to Duma journalist Madina Shavlokhova. The Telegram channel Baza claims that the State Duma did not give Zvezda official comments on the information about Delimkhanov’s injury.

Ukrainian resources, in particular the Politika strany Telegram channel, wrote that a convoy with a deputy and 200 fighters was allegedly covered by artillery in the Zaporozhye region. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, expressed concern, saying that he could not contact Delimkhanov. “I ask Ukrainian intelligence to provide information on exactly what place and what positions were hit, so that I can still find my dear brother,” he wrote.

State Duma deputy Dmitry Kuznetsov claims that Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the lower house, managed to talk with Delimkhanov. “Alive and well. He wishes us good health,” Kuznetsov quoted Volodin as saying.

Akhmat special forces commander Apty Alaudinov gives conflicting information about Delimkhanov’s fate. In a conversation with TASS, he declaredthat the deputy is in Chechnya, and Alaudinov called the reports of the injury fakes. Half an hour later, in his Telegram channel, the commander of Akhmat informedthat he left “in the direction of the scene of the incident with Delimkhanov Adam Sultanovich.” According to him, Kadyrov gave the order to take the deputy out “whatever the cost.”

Since the spring of 2022, Adam Delimkhanov has been participating in a special operation in Ukraine as a volunteer in the Akhmat battalion. In April last year, he received the title of Hero of Russia. June 13 Kadyrov informedthat Delimkhanov met with Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard. The parties discussed issues of preventing breakthroughs by sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRGs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
