Peskov: the Kremlin is not discussing the possibility of a second wave of mobilization

There are no discussions in the Kremlin about the new mobilization, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
“No, there are no discussions about this. I can’t speak for the Ministry of Defense. But there are no discussions on this subject in the Kremlin,” Peskov said.
Earlier, Peskov also rejected the possibility of a second wave of mobilization in the country. On October 12, he stated that “there is no new wave”. Prior to this, the authorities of the Rostov and Kursk regions announced that they had received a “new mobilization task”, as well as a transition to the second stage of partial mobilization.
Partial mobilization in Russia went on from September 21 to the end of October. During this time, a total of 300,000 military personnel were called up. On October 31, the Ministry of Defense announced the final completion of all activities within the framework of the call for partial mobilization, including the issuance of subpoenas. Later, this was confirmed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, emphasizing that “the end has been put in this issue.”
At the same time, no additional documents on the completion of partial mobilization in Russia were signed by the head of state. Putin promised to discuss this issue with lawyers, noting that he did not think about the need to sign a separate decree on the completion of partial mobilization. Later Peskov informedthat this document is not needed. According to him, such a conclusion was made by the state legal department of the presidential administration.
