Peskov spoke about the anti-Russian nature of the NATO summit

The Kremlin is following the NATO summit in Vilnius and will take steps to ensure Russia’s own security. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

“Definitely, we are talking about the summit of the association, which has a pronounced, concentrated anti-Russian character. Russia is perceived by them as an enemy, as an adversary. And it is in this vein that the discussion will be conducted. Of course, we are monitoring this very carefully, because there are many statements, of course, this should and will be the subject of in-depth analysis in order to take measures aimed at ensuring our own security,” Peskov said.

A strong anti-Russian attitude began to manifest itself on the eve of the summit. Peskov stressed that it is not so important where exactly it takes place, but its content is important.

Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov previously also indicated on the anti-Russian mood of the information field before the NATO summit. According to him, everything is being done to prepare public opinion for the approval of any anti-Russian decisions that will be made in Vilnius in the coming days.

The NATO summit will be held from 11 to 12 July in Vilnius. It is expected that during this event a number of important decisions will be made, including the discussion of Ukraine’s accession to NATO. In particular, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced the speech of NATO countries with a unified position on Ukraine’s membership in the organization.
