There will be no taboo topics at the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the Human Rights Council (HRC), which will be held tomorrow, December 7. This was announced by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov. Earlier today, on December 6, a stop list containing issues not recommended for discussion at the meeting was reported by the Nestka publication.
“There can be no stop list. The people there are strong-willed, they have shown themselves in their areas, which they will not look at the stop list and fulfill,” Mr. Peskov told reporters (quoted by RIA Novosti). A spokesperson earlier today in a comment TASS said that during the meeting, all members of the HRC will have the opportunity to speak.
Earlier today, Nestka, citing two unnamed council members and a source close to the HRC, reported that the law on fakes, the murder of Wagner PMC fighter Yevgeny Nuzhin, and the protests of mobilized mothers were on the stop list. According to sources, “very carefully” it is possible to discuss with the president the provision of the mobilized. Russian losses in Ukraine, as the newspaper notes, “it is not recommended to touch.” At the same time, sources said that the president was advised to ask about the end of partial mobilization.
As reported in Kremlin, tomorrow’s HRC meeting with Vladimir Putin will be held via videoconference. This is the first meeting of the president with the renewed composition of the council.
