Peskov said that the main part of the meeting of the Security Council will be held behind closed doors

The main part of the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with members of the Security Council will traditionally be held behind closed doors, it is not known whether there will be an open part. This was stated by the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

“I can not tell. You know that sometimes the president prefers to say some words, at least to designate the topic himself, sometimes he does not. Of course, the Security Council itself will be held, as always, behind closed doors,” he said (cit. according to RIA Novosti).

On the eve of March 2, information appeared in Telegram channels that, against the backdrop of an attack by Ukrainian saboteurs in the Bryansk region, an emergency meeting of the Security Council could be convened. Peskov denied these plans and noted that the meeting was scheduled for March 3.

Putin holds a meeting with members of the Security Council almost every week. Last time about him reported February 13.

On March 2, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced the penetration of a group of Ukrainian saboteurs into the territory of the region. According to him, they opened fire on the car. As a result of the incident, two people died, another child was injured. Later FSB reportedthat a group of Ukrainian saboteurs was “squeezed out” into the territory of Ukraine, where they were subjected to a massive artillery strike.

Putin called the incident a terrorist attack. The head of state stressed that the fire was opened on a car with children, the saboteurs saw this and started shooting anyway.
