The text of the final declaration of the G20 summit in Bali can be considered balanced, including in the part that relates to the Ukrainian issue, said Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
“The difference in approaches, the difference in points of view on this topic was noted and recorded in the declaration,” the Kremlin spokesman said. According to him, Russian experts and representatives have made a lot of efforts to get a balanced text. This declaration will also be published on the Kremlin website, Peskov added.
G20 formerly agreed joint statement following the summit in Bali. The G20 countries, which condemned the conflict in Ukraine, noted that the fighting “causes great human suffering” and also has a negative impact on the global economy.
At the same time, according to a joint statement, a number of countries expressed a different opinion on the “situation and sanctions.” The summit participants stressed that the G20 meeting in Bali is not a platform “to address security issues.”
The G20 summit in Bali takes place from 15 to 16 November. This year the Russian delegation was represented at the event by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. November 15 he completed attending the summit and left Bali. Yesterday, at a meeting with journalists, Lavrov said that the approval of the G20’s final declaration is scheduled for November 16, and the Russian side is represented at the meeting by Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.
