Peskov said that Russia has data on the presence of NATO fighters in Ukraine

Russia has data on the presence of instructors and fighters from NATO countries, including Great Britain, in Ukraine. This statement was made by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, answering a question about Pentagon documents leaked to the network.

“Like everyone else, we do not know what degree of reliability these documents have. But even if we abstract from them, long before the appearance of these documents, we had and still have information that many instructors from NATO countries, including the UK, and fighters are taking part in hostilities, ”he said.

On the eve of April 11, The Guardian newspaper, citing secret US intelligence documents leaked on social networks reportedthat in Ukraine there are special forces fighters of NATO countries. In particular, the newspaper writes, the UK has sent up to 50 troops to Ukraine. The BBC, citing the studied documents, adds that 17 fighters from Latvia, 15 from France, 14 from the United States and one military from the Netherlands are also participating in the fighting.

We are talking about documents dated February and March 2023, both marked “top secret”. They do not specify the location and tasks of the military.

Former Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin declaredthat the documents that have become publicly available date back to February 28 and March 1. He noted that he did not know whether other documents leaked to the network. According to Austin, the US authorities will investigate the incident and “turn every stone until they figure out the source and extent of what happened.”

On April 6, The New York Times reported that the Pentagon was investigating a leak of classified US and NATO papers detailing the state of Ukrainian forces and plans to build them up ahead of a counteroffensive.
