Peskov revealed Putin’s plans for the anniversary of the annexation of Crimea

Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a number of events on the anniversary of the annexation of Crimea and on the eve of this date, said the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, on March 17, Putin will hold a “substantive meeting” timed to coincide with the anniversary of the entry of Crimea into Russia.
“On the very day of the anniversary, there will be some more events for the President,” Mr. Peskov clarified during a conversation with reporters.
Previously VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin did not rule outthat Putin may take part in one of the public events in honor of the ninth anniversary of the annexation of Crimea to Russia on March 18. In 2022, Vladimir Putin spoke at a rally-concert in honor of the annexation of Crimea in Luzhniki.
Crimea became part of Russia following a 2014 referendum. Most UN member states did not recognize the Crimean referendum. After the annexation of the peninsula, the West began to impose sanctions against Russia.
