Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov answered a question about Moscow’s readiness to negotiate on Kyiv’s terms. Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Kyiv would like to hold a “peace summit” at the UN site at the end of February with the mediation of the organization’s Secretary General António Guterres.
“We have never followed someone else’s conditions,” the head of the Kremlin press service said.
Peskov added that Russia will focus only on its own conditions and common sense.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during his speech at the G20 summit announced a “peace formula” of 10 points. Then, commenting on Zelensky’s statement, Dmitry Peskov noted that “such words absolutely confirm Kyiv’s position about unwillingness to negotiate.”
