Peskov refused to comment on media reports about tests of the Sarmat missile

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov did not comment on the CNN report about the testing of the Sarmat missile, which allegedly took place on February 20.
“I can’t answer this question, this is the prerogative of the Ministry of Defense,” he said.
Earlier today CNN sources reportedthat Russia allegedly tested the Sarmat missile on February 20, when US President Joe Biden was in Kyiv. According to one of the interlocutors of the publication, Moscow notified Washington in advance of its plans. Another source said the US does not view the tests as a security risk.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not report the launch of the missile. Previously, the agency reported about the successful tests of the Sarmat missile on November 18 last year.
The first launch of the Sarmat rocket was carried out from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region on April 20. It was successful, the design characteristics were confirmed at all stages of the missile’s flight, the RF Ministry of Defense reported.
