Kremlin official Dmitry Peskov explained the difference between Sweden and Finland joining NATO and Ukraine joining the alliance. He spoke about this in an interview with RBC on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
“The fact is that the Russian Federation has no issues with either Sweden or Finland,” noted the press secretary of the Russian president.
He clarified that there are no security problems or issues related to territories between Moscow, Helsinki and Stockholm. Peskov noted that these countries do not wage a civil war against their regions, do not kill Russians, and also do not ban the Russian language, making it a “language of outcasts.”
“Therefore, we have no problems with them, the situation there is completely different,” Peskov concluded.
