A visit by President Vladimir Putin to Crocus City Hall would be inappropriate due to ongoing work at the site of the terrorist attack, said his press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

“Of course, these days, carrying out some kind of study tours is completely impractical, because it would simply interfere with the headquarters work that was organized on the spot,” Mr. Peskov said during a press call in response to the question of whether the president plans to visit site of the terrorist attack.

The Kremlin representative noted that “from the first minutes of this terrible terrorist attack,” the services and leadership of the Moscow region took all measures “that should be taken in such situations to ensure the rescue of people, the provision of medical assistance to the victims, and fire extinguishing.”

The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall occurred on March 22 before the start of the concert of the Picnic group. Armed people burst into the building, started shooting and set the building on fire. At least 143 people were killed, and another 360 were injured, according to the Center for Disaster Medicine.
