Peskov explained the transfer of “Rolf” to the Federal Property Management Agency by economic feasibility

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the transfer of shares of the Rolf car dealer under the temporary management of the Federal Property Management Agency is associated solely with economic feasibility, compliance with the laws of the Russian Federation and international conditions. A representative of the car dealer told Interfax that changes in the company’s ownership will not affect its operating activities.
During a press call with Dmitry Peskov, journalists drew his attention to the fact that Rolf is already a Russian company. To this the press secretary replied: “No, there are also various offshore holdings, and so on. It is a Russian company, but, as you understand, there are various ownership patterns that required intervention.”
Earlier today, December 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decree on the transfer of shares of the largest car dealer of the Russian Federation “Rolf” to the temporary management of the Federal Property Management Agency. It follows from the document that the shares of JSC Rolf, owned by the Cypriot Delance Limited and Rolf Motors, are transferred under the management of the department. Also, the Federal Property Management Agency will manage the company’s shares in the authorized capital of Rolf Estate St. Petersburg and Rolf Tech.
Rolf owns car dealerships in Moscow and St. Petersburg. In 2022, Rolf’s net profit according to IFRS decreased by 36.4%, to 13.1 billion rubles, revenue – by 36.2%, amounting to 231.59 billion rubles.
