Peskov: discussion of the economic situation with Putin will be held behind closed doors

Dmitry Peskov announced on Tuesday a meeting on economic issues to be held by Vladimir Putin. He recalled that this is a standard format, the president resumes the practice of discussing the economic situation with members of the government.
According to the Kremlin speaker, at the beginning of the meeting, Putin will make an assessment of the results of the past year and development prospects. Also scheduled are speeches by the head of the Ministry of Economics, Maxim Reshetnikov, who will talk about the tasks for 2023, the chairman of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina. “Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin will talk about infrastructure development programs, and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov will talk about the situation with the budget,” Peskov said.
According to him, “so that the conversation is businesslike and substantive” in the open part there will be only the president’s speech and, possibly, his final remarks.
“And the discussion itself will, of course, be held behind closed doors,” the press secretary of the head of state added.
