The Kremlin is not going to announce the candidacy of someone who can be appointed head of the Accounts Chamber (CA). This was announced by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
“We never announce any personnel prospects. We won’t do it this time either,” he said.

According to the current legislation, the appointment to the position of the head of the Accounts Chamber is carried out on the proposal of the head of state for six years. The president receives at least three candidates for consideration and then selects one. At the same time, the same person cannot hold the position of the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber for more than two consecutive terms. Now Acting Chairman of the Accounts Chamber is Galina Izotova, who previously held the position of deputy head of the department.
